Privacy Policy
Confidentiality is the engagement. We extend the same standard to this website.
Imperial Consulting Unit Inc. ("ICUnit", "we", "our") respects the privacy of every visitor and client. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect through icunit.ca, how we use it, and how we protect it. It is aligned with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Information you provide voluntarily. When you submit a contact form, request a quote, or email us directly, we receive the information you choose to share — typically name, organization, phone, email, the service you are interested in, and the substance of your inquiry.
- Basic technical information from your visit (browser type, device, IP, pages viewed) — used solely to operate the site and improve it.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry, provide a confidential quote, and schedule engagements.
- To deliver the engaged services and any associated reports.
- To meet legal, regulatory, and professional obligations under the Ontario PSISA Act.
Confidentiality of engagements
The substance of every consultation, every engagement, and every report is strictly confidential. We do not publish client names, do not share findings with third parties without explicit instruction, and do not discuss active matters except with the client and (where authorized) their counsel.
Form submissions
Contact form submissions are routed to donovan@icunit.ca via Formspree. Formspree's own privacy practices apply to that processor. Submissions are stored only as long as needed to respond and to maintain a basic record of the engagement relationship.
Cookies and analytics
icunit.ca may use a minimal set of cookies for site operation and basic analytics (page-level traffic patterns). We do not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party data sales.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request corrections, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact donovan@icunit.ca.
Data security
We apply reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect personal information. No system is invulnerable, but the same operational discipline that defines our TSCM work informs how we handle client information.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at icunit.ca/privacy-policy.
