Vehicle Theft Risk in the Scarborough Area

Ontario is currently the most active vehicle theft market in Canada, with more than 10,000 thefts across just the top ten most-stolen vehicles in 2024 (Équité Association). Modern theft rings increasingly use covert GPS trackers as a pre-positioning tool — marking targeted vehicles days or weeks before extraction. Scarborough sits within that broader risk environment, and any operator of a high-value SUV or pickup in the area should consider a baseline GPS sweep as routine risk management.
